A
turtle island is located in the Sulu Sea which is about 40 kilometers from
Sandakan in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. There are three islands that make up
Turtle Islands which has been gazette as a marine park. Pulau Selingan is the
main island that served as a breeding ground for the green turtles. On almost
every evening, these turtles would crawl up to the soft sandy beach that
fringes the island to lay their eggs. On this island there are chalets for
visitors. This island also houses the hatchery and the park’s headquarters.
